The Indian Ocean Defence & Security Conference and Exhibition (IODS) is a biennial strategically focused international defence and security event designed to facilitate high-level engagement on shared regional challenges, capability development, and sovereign industry growth.
The three-day program features a senior-level conference and international trade exhibition and is complemented by B2B networking opportunities, international delegate and industry briefings, and a careers program. The Better Together Ball is IODS crown jewel, open for all to attend and offering a black tie gala event where all proceeds are donated to charity partners RSLWA and Legacy WA to support Western Australian veterans and their families.
Presented by the Western Australian Government via Defence West, IODS 2026 will be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 26 to 28 May 2026, supported by event delivery partners AMDA Foundation and Perth USAsia Centre.
