The AUKUS SME Readiness Fund is a competitive grant program to provide funding support to Western Australian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to improve their capacity and capability to secure work in the AUKUS supply chain, specifically for AUKUS Pillars 1 and 2.
The AUKUS SME Readiness Fund is a key component of the WA Government’s strategy for a strong and resilient economy, bolstering our industrial resilience through the Made in WA plan.
- Grant funding is for 50% of eligible costs up to a maximum of $100,000.
- Individual businesses are limited to one application per grant round.
- Late applications will not be accepted.
Prior to lodging your application, you should read and understand the 2025/26 AUKUS SME Readiness Fund Guidelines. These will describe eligibility for funding and the assessment process.

Please note: The 2025/26 AUKUS SME Readiness Fund Guidelines have been updated. The Milestone for the assessment and notification of outcomes to applicants has been amended to “Within three months of round closing”
