Agency WAIPS responsibilities

Under the Western Australian Jobs Act 2017 and the Western Australia Industry Participation Strategy 2024, WA Government agencies are required to:

  • Include and assess the participation plan when evaluating the prospective supplier's offer to supply, in accordance with the WAIPS.
  • Incorporate relevant participation plan commitments in the supply contract, as stipulated by the WAIPS.
  • Include reporting requirements in the supply contract, as per the WAIPS.
  • Provide information, upon request, to the Minister for State Development to facilitate reporting to Parliament.
  • Implement all other aspects of WAIPS.
