The WA Innovator of the Year Awards' Rio Tinto Emerging Innovation Category recognises WA innovators who have developed an outstanding innovative product, technology, process or service that is pre-revenue.
Applicants to this category must also clearly demonstrate an economic, social or environmental benefit to Western Australia.
Prior to the awards ceremony on 5 December, all finalists are invited to attend a suite of commercialisation training in topics such as accountancy, IP protection, a legal health check, social media and marketing, grant writing, pitching and more. They will also be involved in the production of a photography and/or videography package, to better promote their innovation.
This year, 6 finalists have been chosen for the Rio Tinto Emerging Innovation Category.
