The WA Innovator of the Year Awards' Rio Tinto Growth Innovation Category recognises WA innovators who have developed an outstanding innovative product, technology, process or service that is post-revenue.
Applicants to this category must also clearly demonstrate an economic, social or environmental benefit to Western Australia.
The Western Australia Innovator of the Year program has showcased innovative and entrepreneurial individuals, businesses and creative minds since 2006.
Prior to the awards ceremony on 5 December, all finalists are invited to attend a suite of commercialisation training in topics such as accountancy, IP protection, a legal health check, social media and marketing, grant writing, pitching and more. They will also be involved in the production of a photography and/or videography package, to better promote their innovation.
This year, 6 finalists have been chosen for the Rio Tinto Growth Innovation Category.
