About
The Western Trade Coast has supported industrial activities in Western Australia for more than 60 years making it one of the first heavy industrial areas established in the State.
Covering 3,900 hectares between Munster and Rockingham, it includes the Kwinana Industrial Area, Rockingham Industry Zone, Australian Marine Complex and Latitude 32.
Today, a number of global leaders in industry processing and manufacturing have set up operations in the Western Trade Coast, building strong interconnected industrial synergies. This has become a unique feature of the Western Trade Coast compared to other industrial precincts around the world.
The Western Trade Coast continues to attract global interest, reflecting the provision of essential infrastructure, supportive environmental regulations and the region’s proximity to a skilled and available workforce.
The Western Trade Coast is forecast to grow significantly with the progress of Westport, the Western Australian Government’s future container port located in Kwinana. The precinct will also play a key role in achieving the State's decarbonisation goals through its role in the development and expansion of green energy supply chains.
