Privacy Collection Notice for LGIRS and DMPE My Account

This Collection Notice explains how your personal information is collected and managed when you create and use My Account to access secure online services.

We collect your personal information to:

  • Establish and manage secure access to our online services;
  • Capture who completed the application, approval, report, form or other submission as per the requirements of the individual lodgement;
  • Contact you to request further information or follow-up on relevant matters; and
  • Send you reminders or communications relevant to the online service.

When you create an account or sign in, we collect your:

  • Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Email address
  • Landline phone number
  • Mobile phone number

Providing this information is voluntary but, if you do not provide it, you will not be able to create an account or use the online service. You can contact the relevant department for more information about alternative off-line options.

The platform stores your account information and uses it to authenticate your identity when you sign into participating online services.

Your information is automatically shared with the online service you are accessing which will be one or more of the following:

Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety

  • BondsOnline
  • FuelWatch Online
  • FuelWatch Industry
  • LGIRS Online forms 
  • LGIRS Grants Platform
  • Short-Term Rental Accommodation Register (STRA)
  • WA Relationship Authorisation Manager (WARAM)

Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration

  • DMPE Online forms
  • Geophysical Survey Index (MAGIX)
  • Resources Online
  • WA Relationship Authorisation Manager (WARAM)

The relevant online services may also retain a copy of your information for operational purposes. For further information about how your personal information is handled, refer to the Privacy Collection Notice applicable to the relevant online service.

Sign in options and updating of your personal information

My Account provides a number of different ways to sign in using your:

  • email address or
  • Digital Identity such as myID or
  • Facebook credentials or
  • Google / Gmail account.

Signing in with your email address

If you elect to sign in using your email address, your information is stored by LGIRS.  You can update your personal information by signing into the platform’s “Manage my account” function.  Your updates will be automatically shared with any LGIRS and DMPE online services you have previously elected to sign into.

Signing in with digital identity, Facebook or Google accounts 

If you choose to sign in using your Digital Identity, Facebook or Google accounts, you will interact with one or more of the following parties:

  • Facebook
  • Google
  • the Department of Premier and Cabinet’s WA Digital Identity Gateway
  • the Australian Government Digital Transformation Agency which hosts the Digital Identity solution.

You should refer to the Privacy Policy of these organisations to understand how your personal information is handled and how it can be updated.
