On 5 September 2017, the Western Australian Government (the Government) announced an Independent Scientific Panel Inquiry into Hydraulic Fracture Stimulation in Western Australia (the Inquiry).

The Inquiry handed down its final report (the ‘Report’) to the Government on 12 September 2018.

The Report contains 91 findings and 44 recommendations, all of which were accepted by the Government. The recommendations have been consolidated into an Implementation Plan to progress the Government’s response.
