Application fees
An application is not considered lodged until the fee has been received. An invoice for payment will be issued on receipt of your emailed or posted form and can either be paid through the licensee's online portal account, by posting a cheque made payable to the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety or a BPOINT payment link can be emailed on request. Application fees are not subject to GST.
Applications will not be progressed until the fee is received. Generally, the application fee is not refundable, even if the application is refused or withdrawn.

Application requirements
When lodging an application for a Bookmakers’ Employee Licence the following information is to accompany the application:
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Prescribed application fee. Cheques are to be made payable to the Gaming and Wagering Commission.
A current National Police Certificate must be provided with this application (no older than 3 months). This can be obtained from Australia Post. - Personal identification must be sighted when the application is lodged. If lodging by post, include a photocopy of driver's licence or other identification incorporating your signature.
- If you are an employee of a government department, it is your responsibility to gain the consent from the head of that department to undertake employment with a bookmaker.
