Photographs are required for High Risk Work & Plumbing Licences.

Photographs must:

  • be a JPG, JPEG, GIF, or PNG file type and no larger than 5MB.
  • less than 6 months old
  • be in colour

    They must have:
  • a plain white or light background
  • a clear, in-focus image
  • a neutral expression (not smiling)
  • uniform lighting with appropriate brightness and contrast to show your natural skin tone
  • your face centred and looking straight at the camera
  • the edges of your face clearly visible.
     
    They must not have:
  • sunglasses, hats or other ineligible headwear
  • any retouching, such as removing moles, wrinkles or scars
  • any shadows or reflections
  • a smile expression
  • your head tilted in any direction or looking away
  • your hair obscuring the edges of your face.

There are photograph service providers (i.e post offices, many camera stores and some pharmacies & chemists) who can help you to take an appropriate photograph and will provide you with a digital copy that can be used.
