To add new firearm(s) to an existing Primary Producer Licence you will need to:

  • Provide a completed Firearms Identification and Serviceability Certificate
  • Provide evidence that you meet the relevant Storage Requirements
  • Complete the process outlined below

SECURITY & STORAGE

  • Should your current storage and security arrangements be ineligible for grandfathering, you will be required to provide evidence of upgraded storage and security before your licence can be issued.
  • If you do require upgraded storage and/or security, you will need to email your completed Storage Statement to FirearmsProject@police.wa.gov.au referencing your licence number.
  • Please consult the storage matrix below to determine the storage and security requirements that apply to your circumstances. It should be noted that your storage requirements are determined by the number and type of firearms on your licence, plus any other firearms registered to your storage location.

NUMERICAL LIMITS

  • Primary Producer Licences are subject to a Numerical Limit of ten (10) firearms.

Notes:

  • Category E firearms (such as tranquiliser guns or paintball markers used in primary production activity) do not count against this limit.
  • Additional barrels that are approved for the licence do not count against this limit.

These forms should only be completed if requested by Licensing Services.

Form Purpose

Firearm Details Primary Producer LSF229DUse this form if your Primary Producer licence does not have enough space to list all firearms. This form supplements your existing licence by allowing you to add additional firearms.
Permission to Privately Purchase Firearms LSF10Use this form if you are privately purchasing a firearm as part of your licence management. It allows WA Police to assess and approve the private purchase.
Permission to Privately Purchase Firearms Addendum LSF10AUse this form only if you are lodging LSF10 and need extra space to list more firearms than the main form allows. This form supplements LSF10.
Storage Statement LSF12Use this form to declare your current firearm storage arrangements. Submit this form if your storage has changed, or if WA Police request updated storage information.
Permission to Co-license Firearms LSF9 Use this form if you wish to co-license a firearm with another person. It lets WA Police assess and approve co-user permission as part of your application.
