The State Government has announced the 41 finalists competing in the 2026 WA Training Awards, recognising excellence across Western Australia's vocational education and training (VET) sector.

Hosted annually by the Department of Training and Workforce Development, the awards celebrate individuals, employers and organisations making an outstanding contribution to skills development and workforce growth across the State.

This year, 30 individual finalists have been recognised across eight award categories, including WA Apprentice, Trainee and Vocational Student of the Year, while 11 organisations are shortlisted across four categories. Among the finalists are 14 individuals from regional Western Australia.

Individual award winners will become ambassadors for WA's vocational training sector, helping inspire future generations to consider vocational training pathways.

Winners will be announced at the 2026 WA Training Awards presentation ceremony on Thursday 10 September 2026, with individual recipients also receiving a $3,000 cash prize.

The 2026 WA Training Awards are made possible through a partnership with the State Training Board and the generous support of Principal Sponsor MEGT, and category sponsors, the Training Accreditation Council, Apprenticeship Support Australia powered by the Chamber of Commerce of Industry WA, Construction Training Fund, Electrotechnology Training Institute and Jobs and Skills WA.
