Applications are open for the 2027 Department of Housing and Works Graduate Program.
Our Graduate Program supports university graduates to grow their careers in a diverse, inclusive, and values-based supportive environment.
We are proud to share that our Department has been recognised as a Top Graduate Employer for 2026 by the Australian Association of Graduate Employers. This award is based entirely on feedback from graduates and acknowledges organisations that provide the most positive experience for new graduates.

Graduates in our Program gain hands-on experience by undertaking at least three rotations within different areas of the Department. The rotations align with graduates’ degrees, skills, and interests, as well as our operational needs.
We encourage graduates from all degrees to apply, particularly those who are motivated to make a meaningful impact, eager to learn, and ready to bring fresh ideas and a collaborative mindset to our Department.
