Applications for a new $25 million Regional Housing Support Fund have opened today to unlock housing and land projects across regional Western Australia.
Designed to help address feasibility challenges in housing and residential lot development, the fund will support key worker housing, community housing and residential subdivisions by providing grants of up to $5 million to local government, community housing providers and developer or landowners.
Administered by the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, funding can be sought for costs associated with construction, site preparation, roadworks and essential infrastructure such as water, wastewater, electricity and telecommunications.
Projects must comprise a minimum of three residential dwellings or lots. In the case of dwellings, these may span multiple lots, provided they are delivered as part of a single coordinated package. For subdivisions, the proposed lots must be on a single contiguous site.
The fund is one of several Government initiatives to help improve housing affordability and accessibility across regional Western Australia.
Applications for the Regional Housing Support Fund close 5pm AWST, 19 December 2025, for more information and to apply, visit the Regional Housing Support Fund website.
