The Minister for Skills and TAFE is looking for persons with effective leadership skills and expertise and experience in quality assurance to help influence the quality of VET throughout Western Australia.

If you have these skills, knowledge and experience, we would like to hear from you.

Under the Vocational Education and Training Act 1996, the Council is an independent statutory body that has a pivotal role in assuring the quality of training providers registered with the Council and the accreditation of courses in the VET sector in Western Australia. The Council operates within an agreed national VET regulatory framework defined in a set of standards, guidelines and policies.

The Council provides high level advice to the Minister for Skills and TAFE on matters relating to the quality of VET in Western Australia, so as to achieve the best opportunities and outcomes for West Australians engaging in VET.

The Cook Government is committed to increasing the representation of women on Government boards and committees and ensuring diversity in board and committee representation. All interested persons are encouraged to apply.

Expressions of interest for membership of the Training Accreditation Council are now invited.

How to apply

Expression of interest must include a curriculum vitae (CV) of no more than two pages (using the approved proforma) and be accompanied by a covering letter outlining how you meet Council member requirements as outlined in the selection criteria (maximum of four pages).
