Participants in WA’s building and electrical sectors are invited to attend free information events across the State this year, presented by Building and Energy.
National Construction Code regional sessions
The building regulator is presenting seven regional sessions on the National Construction Code (NCC), which is Australia’s primary set of technical design and construction provisions for buildings.
Building surveyors, builders, building engineers, building designers, architects and local government building staff are welcome at the interactive sessions which will discuss two separate NCC editions (NCC 2022 and NCC 2025).
The free events will run from 9am to 3pm with a light lunch provided:
- Albany (City of Albany) – Tuesday 18 February
- Esperance (Esperance Bay Yacht Club) – Friday 21 February
- Broome (Mangrove Hotel) – Tuesday 25 February
- Geraldton (City of Greater Geraldton) – Friday 28 February
- Busselton (City of Busselton) – Wednesday 5 March
- Bunbury (Mantra Bunbury Lighthouse) – Thursday 6 March
- Northam (Bilya Koort Boodja Cultural Centre) – Friday 7 March

Electrical Roadshow
After successful metropolitan events, Building and Energy is also visiting 16 regional centres over the next eight months for an Electrical Roadshow. The sessions are open to all electrical contractors, electrical workers and electrical apprentices.
Topics include AS/NZS 4777 solar standard updates, new CPR legislation, safe working guidelines for electrical workers and apprentices, and notifiable work and electrical compliance.
The Building and Energy sessions will be held at the following locations:
