WA Premier Roger Cook, Finance Minister Sue Ellery, and local member for Fremantle Simone McGurk today visited Fremantle Hospital’s 40-bed Mental Health redevelopment – the site of the first State Government construction project to trial gender equality targets and reporting.

The pilot aims to increase female representation on non-residential construction projects and demonstrate what can be achieved by female talent within the construction industry.

Nineteen women are working on the project so far including project managers and a site engineer.
