Minister for Finance, Hon Dr Tony Buti recognised this year’s most outstanding non-residential construction contractors at the annual Department of Finance Supplier Performance Awards held at Djookanup in Osborne Park.

The awards recognise businesses that have provided exceptional services and value on WA Government non-residential building projects including schools, hospitals, emergency services buildings and laboratories.

Department of Finance Deputy Director General – Buildings and Contracts, Shaun Whitmarsh, said the awards demonstrate government commitment to working with suppliers that have a track record in delivering great project outcomes.

The Best Aboriginal Contractor Award was awarded to Colab Construction for its outstanding performance on the Albany DOT office fit-out, Albany Police Complex and the Katanning Research Station.

  • Best Contractor: PS Structures
  • Best Regional Contractor: Pilbara Constructions
  • Best Consultant: TAG The Architecture Group
  • Best Cost Manager: Rider Levett Bucknall
  • Best Project: Department Primary Industries and Regional Development Laboratories
    • Contractor: ADCO Constructions
    • Consultant: Silver Thomas Hanley
    • Cost Manager: RBB
    • Project Manager: Kevin Truscott
    • Project Director: Gary Dixon

 “I commend the 2022 Department of Finance Supplier Performance Award recipients for their professional approach to these projects and the commitment to delivering high quality outcomes to the WA community, particularly given the challenges presented during the past two years with supply chain issues and materials and labour shortages,” Mr Whitmarsh said.
