WA’s Chief Health Officer has provided updated advice about the controlled interstate border due to the evolving COVID-19 situation in New South Wales.

Arrivals from 1.59pm, 19 June 2021 onwards:

  • Get tested for COVID-19 on arrival or within 48 hours and self-quarantine until a negative result is returned.
  • You must wear a mask when in transit to your premises or to get a COVID-19 test.

Airport testing is being arranged for Perth Airport domestic terminals from Sunday, 20 June 2021 for all NSW arrivals. Arrivals can also choose to go to other COVID testing clinics.

All arrivals into WA from NSW since 11 June who have been to any of the listed exposure sites (external link) during the relevant times are required to:

  • get a COVID-19 test immediately (within 48 hours)
  • self-quarantine for 14 days from date of exposure
  • present for a day 11 COVID-19 test

This advice applies to both lists on the NSW Health site, as close and casual contacts are managed the same way.

Arrivals from NSW should continue to monitor NSW Health’s website (external link) for updated exposure sites.

Anyone who is unwell or experiencing symptoms should get tested for COVID-19 and self-quarantine until they return a negative test result.

A list of testing clinics (external link) is available on the HealthyWA website (external link).
