WA’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout has changed, following updated advice from the Australian Government.

People aged 50 to 59

From Friday, 18 June, people in this age group will be able to book in for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

Those who already have a booking for their first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine will be contacted by WA Health and have their appointment changed to a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine booking.

Anyone who has already had one dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine should keep their booking and have their second dose of that vaccine, as national health advice stipulates different vaccines cannot be mixed.

People aged 40 to 49

People in this age group are encouraged to visit Roll up for WA to make a booking.

People aged 30 to 39

People aged 30 to 39 who have existing bookings at community vaccination clinics will have those bookings honoured. Enthusiasm has been extremely high from this group, with appointments already booked out until August.

People aged 30 to 39 who have not yet made a booking are encouraged to visit Roll up for WA  and register their details, so when more Pfizer supply becomes available from the Commonwealth, they will be able to get a booking quickly.

Pfizer to become available in GP and respiratory clinics

From July 5, locations offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine will expand, meaning anyone aged 40 to 59 will be able to receive their Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination at a participating GP or respiratory clinic, in addition to the state-run community vaccination clinics.
