Following a competitive recruitment process, the Department is pleased to welcome:

Jaime Lundberg – Deputy Director General, Major Projects, Business and Regional Services

Jaime is currently the Assistant Director General, Strategy and Engagement at the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage. She has been instrumental in coordinating infrastructure, leading major projects and delivering initiatives to increase housing supply across the State.

With more than 20 years’ experience across the public and private sectors in Australia and overseas, Jaime has a strong track record in leading complex projects and shaping public policy.

Emma Colombera – Deputy Director General, Planning

Emma joins us from the Department of Treasury and Finance, where she is currently Director of the Housing Supply Unit.  She brings more than 15 years’ experience in senior roles across the Western Australian public sector, including Treasury, Communities and the Housing Authority.

Emma has extensive experience driving reform across land supply, intergovernmental relations and portfolio commissioning.

Kristian Dawson – Deputy Director General, Lands and Heritage

Kristian comes to us from the Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration, where he most recently served as Executive Director, Resource Tenure. He is an experienced public sector leader with deep expertise in regulatory decision-making and a strong focus on delivering State Government priorities.

Over a career spanning two decades, Kristian has held several senior roles across the State Department portfolio, with a focus on infrastructure, planning and economic development.

Each leader brings a proven track record in policy, reform, and complex project management. Together, they will be instrumental in driving our priorities forward and delivering meaningful outcomes for all WA communities.

The new Deputy Directors General will formally commence their roles in mid-May.
