The Forest Products Commission will open its second speciality timber auction for 2022 on Friday, 24 June.

The speciality timber auctions are made up of varying lot sizes that are curated to accommodate small commercial operators, craftspeople and hobbyists who are seeking varying amounts of timber or craftwood.

A variety of highly sought-after feature-grade timbers, many salvaged from various land clearing projects (such as mining and road construction), will be offered for sale. Available species will include marri, jarrah (logs and burls), blackbutt, sheoak, salmon gum, gimlet, goldfields blackbutt, tasmanian bluegum, sydney bluegum and tasmanian blackwood.

Due to the continued success of the online-only auction format and the health and safety implications of current COVID-19 conditions, the upcoming April 2022 auction will be available for online bidding only. Inspection of the lots during the auction can be arranged by contacting Steve Davis 0427 380 632.
