RAP COVER

In 2020, the FPC launched its first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) ‘Reflect’. A Reflect RAP clearly sets out the steps that organisations should take to prepare for reconciliation initiatives in successive RAPs.

We are now officially launching the next stage of our RAP – our ‘Innovate’ RAP.

An Innovate RAP focuses on developing and strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, engaging staff and stakeholders in reconciliation, and developing and piloting innovative strategies to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The FPC’s Innovate 2021-22 Reconciliation Action Plan outlines actions that work towards achieving our vision for reconciliation. Through our RAP actions and deliverables, the FPC commits to learning and sharing knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and works toward a wider understanding and appreciation of reconciliation issues by all Australians. Our RAP aims to engage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and businesses in economic opportunities and integrate cultural values into forest management for the benefit of future generations. Our RAP was developed through the FPC’s Reconciliation Working Group with guidance provided by Reconciliation Australia.
