A Building Industry Summit today aims to identify new red tape reductions and ways to streamline regulatory requirements for the construction of new homes, residential renovations and commercial construction.
As part of a multi-agency commitment to progress work already achieved in the building sector, Commerce Minister Michael Mischin, Planning Minister John Day and Local Government Minister Tony Simpson will all participate in the day-long event.
Premier Colin Barnett, who will open the summit, said the event demonstrated the Government's commitment to removing unnecessary road blocks which frustrated Western Australian businesses and families.
