Are you a strong communicator with a creative touch? The role of Communications Officer for the WA Government’s Collie Delivery Unit (CDU) might just be the job for you.

This role focuses on developing and implementing communication strategies and activities for the CDU for different audiences, purposes and channels. The Communications Officer will also play a key part in coordinating and supporting the communications efforts of other stakeholders, including WA Government agencies and partners.

To be successful in this role, effective communication and engagement with stakeholders is key.

What is the CDU?

The Unit was established as part of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet’s Infrastructure and the Regions Directorate to support a number of programs and initiatives to deliver a Just Transition for the Collie community as it reduces its reliance on the coal industry. The role of the Unit has grown over time, and is really ramping up following the Government’s latest announcements about the closure of State-owned coal-fired power stations in Collie. The CDU is now seeking a passionate, proactive and skilled team member to ensure the community is kept up to date on all of the work being done to secure a Just Transition for Collie.

This position will ideally be based in Collie. If based in Perth, regular travel to Collie will be required. Read more about the work being done in Collie at the Collie Just Transition web page, or read more about the role.

For further information refer to the Job Description Form, or contact Collie Delivery Unit Manager Annelies de Ruiter on (08) 6552 6867.

Applications close 4pm, Friday August 19.
