The Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) has launched a new publication to assist the many WA employers and employees who are covered by the state Long Service Leave Act.
The Guide to the Western Australian Long Service Leave Act explains who is covered by the Long Service Leave Act and details long service leave entitlements when an employee takes long service leave and when an employee leaves employment. Practical examples are provided for a range of scenarios.
The new publication contains the same information on long service leave that is on the LGIRS website, but now available all in one easy to access document.
