The Department has released its Multicultural Plan 2026-29, outlining how it will strengthen multicultural capability and support accessible, inclusive and responsive services for Western Australia's diverse community.
The plan supports the Department's commitment to embedding multicultural considerations into its workforce practices, service delivery, regulation and community engagement.
The plan focuses on:
- improving access to services, information and regulatory guidance
- supporting inclusive and respectful workplaces
- strengthening engagement with culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) communities
- embedding multicultural considerations into decision-making and service delivery.
The plan builds on previous work and supports fair and effective outcomes for culturally and linguistically diverse people across Western Australia.
