The Office of Digital Government has established the Cloud Community of Practice to encourage agency engagement and knowledge sharing as agencies migrate to cloud services. The Cloud Community of Practice is an agency led collaboration forum with seminars featuring guest speakers held every six to eight weeks on topics nominated by agency representatives.

The first seminar focused on Multifactor Authentication, followed by Cyber Security, Phishing and Social Engineering. The latest seminar on 27 June was on Digital Service Delivery with speakers from the Office of Digital Government, Department of Communities, and Catholic Education WA.

This seminar focused on the importance of providing a consistent user experience and choosing the right platforms to make it easier for people to transact with government online. The LEADing lights platform built by Catholic Education WA was showcased as an innovative solution to digital transformation with insights that can be applied to the WA public sector, such as the benefits of adopting agile, collaborative organisations rather than operating in silos.

The Cloud Community of Practice Seminars are an example of how the Office of Digital Government is facilitating collaboration and engagement in the public sector.
