WA Health has issued advice for recently returned travellers from Queensland, after a positive case was detected in Brisbane.

All arrivals into WA from QLD since Saturday 19 June 2021 who have been to any of the listed exposure sites during the relevant times are required to:

  • get a COVID-19 test immediately (within 48 hours)
  • self-quarantine for 14 days after date of exposure
  • present for a day 11 COVID-19 test
  • wear masks when transiting to self-quarantine premises or to get a COVID-19 test

Anyone from the Brisbane area who did not visit the venues and has arrived after 19 June 2021 are advised to get tested if they develop any symptoms that may be related to COVID-19.

Arrivals from QLD should continue to monitor QLD Health’s website for updates.

Queensland Health is in the process of contact tracing and will notify WA Health if any close or casual contacts are found to be in Western Australia.

A list of testing clinics is available on the HealthyWA website
