Based on the latest health advice, Queensland will remain classified as a ‘low risk’ jurisdiction.

Earlier this week, it was announced that WA’s controlled interstate border was set to be safely adjusted, pending no further outbreaks, to allow for quarantine-free travel from Queensland from Friday 22 October, 2021.

Queensland’s transition has now been paused following a very concerning case of COVID-19 in the community.

Anyone entering WA from Queensland will need to continue to meet conditions of entry under the low risk category.

This decision will be reviewed on Monday 25 October, 2021.
