What is the Road Smart program?

Young people are our priority. The program focuses on shaping positive road safety attitudes and behaviours early, before students become drivers, helping keep them safe now as pedestrians, cyclists and passengers, and into the future as drivers. What young people think and do today strongly influences how they behave behind the wheel tomorrow.

The interactive, real‑life incursion supports the WA Curriculum and complements learning in Health and Physical Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Pastoral Care and Science by encouraging awareness, responsible decision‑making and safer choices. Thousands of students have already taken part.

Supporting student wellbeing doesn’t need to add to teachers’ workload. Our program is simple to book, delivered on school grounds, and fully supported by our experienced education team. We work alongside schools to support road safe students, now and into the future.

We travel directly to your school, delivering engaging, hands‑on road safety sessions tailored to your students and local context. The program is flexible, requires little preparation, and is designed specifically for WA roads.

Schools are already booked in across WA, from Esperance to Derby, Lakelands to Kalgoorlie, the program is now available statewide.

Up to $5,000 available to participating schools

Participating schools are also exclusively eligible for grants of up to $5000 for student projects. The grants allow students to apply their learnings to develop and deliver a project to that will positively impact road safety behaviour in their local community.
