The WA Government has announced a targeted grants program to assist small businesses highly impacted by the recent Perth and Peel lockdown.

The Small Business Lockdown Assistance Grants program will provide assistance of $2,000 to small businesses in the Perth and Peel region, in industry sectors most severely impacted by the recent 3-day lockdown and restrictions.

The grants are intended to offset some of the costs of the lockdown and business closures, such as loss of perishable goods.

The grants program is intended for those small businesses most affected by the long weekend lockdown, including:

  • cafés, bars, restaurants and catering services.
  • clubs, gyms and fitness centres.

More information about the program, including the eligibility criteria and details about the online application process, will be made available in the next week or so.
