Tenders WA Release 4.1

Tenders WA is the central source of information for State Government public sector requests and awarded contracts. It contains requests, including expressions of interest, early tender advice, drafts for comment and requests for tender. Release 4.1 includes new procurement methods, new exemptions, exceptions and approvals from the appropriate procurement method, and actual contract expenditure to align business processes with the new procurement rules. 

Contract award

Procurement method used values have been updated, including:

• no responses received to a previous Request
• no conforming responses received to a previous Request
• responses received to a previous Request were collusive
• bona fide sole source of supply
• emergency situation
• goods purchased on a commodity market
• procured a prototype in the source of research, study or original development
• integrate with an existing contract, project or operating environment and no suitable alternative
• unforeseen additional works required within original objectives and less than 50 per cent variation of value
• purchased under exceptionally advantageous conditions
• awarded to winner of a design contest
• specified procurement method is not appropriate for the relevant procurement
• other.

New fields to record the exception for procurement method used will include:

• Australian Disability Enterprise
• Registered Aboriginal Business.

A new field to record other approvals and exemptions will be available:

• C2.2: purchasing from mandatory CUAs in emergency situations
• C2.3: establish a contract term exceeding 5 years at commencement
• C3: taking procurement planning documentation to relevant review committee
• D7: taking procurement evaluation documentation to relevant review committee
• D8.2: publishing contract award details on Tenders WA
• E1: developing project or contract management plan
• E3.2: publishing expenditure update details on Tenders WA
• F9: project bank accounts.

Actual contract expenditure
