Text-to-speech, an assistive technology that reads text out loud, is now available for COVID-19 information on WA.gov.au.

It’s great for people with reading difficulties, reduced vision, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Simply select the ‘Listen to article’ button at the top of each COVID-19 information page. A computer generated voice reads the text out loud and can speed up or slow down as needed.

The WA Government is committed to providing understandable COVID-19 information to the whole community, and text-to-speech will help people stay up to date with important public information.

The text to speech is only available for COVID-19 content on WA.gov.au at this stage.

Visit the COVID-19 information page to stay up to date.
