Industry participants invited to register for Environment Plan and Native Vegetation Clearing Permit information sessions.
Last updated:

The Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration (DMPE) is currently progressing development of its Resources Online system, with the launch of the new platform planned for early June.

This system is being introduced in a phased approach as a new digital solution to improve the efficiency of environmental applications under the Mining Act 1978 and State petroleum legislation.

To support the launch, DMPE will be holding two online information sessions on Wednesday 27 May for industry members who develop or work with environment plans and native vegetation clearing permits for mineral and petroleum activities.

Our online session for Environment Plans will be held on Wednesday 27 May from 10am–11am.

Our online session for Native Vegetation Clearing Permits will follow shortly afterwards, on Wednesday 27 May from 1pm–2pm.

Please register your interest for either or both sessions by emailing REC.Consultation@dmpe.wa.gov.au by close of business on Monday 25 May.

Release 3 – In progress delivery estimation: 9 June

Environment Plans can be lodged online via the Environmental Assessment and Regulatory System (EARS Online) until 4 June. From 9 June, online submissions will need to be completed using the Resources Online portal.

Native Vegetation Clearing Permits (mineral and petroleum activities) can be lodged via DMPE’s Departmental Submissions portal until 4 June. From 9 June, online submissions will need to be completed using the Resources Online portal.

Resources Online is a new digital solution to improve the efficiency of environmental applications under the Mining Act 1978 and State petroleum legislation. It will replace the current Environmental Assessment and Regulatory System (EARS) with a consolidated solution that provides a single user portal.

From 9 June, online submissions for environment plans and native vegetation clearing permits for mining and petroleum activities will need to be completed using the Resources Online Portal. For more information regarding the rollout, visit Resources Online.
