This award reflects our commitment to supporting our amazing staff who are trained to attend emergency incidents across Western Australia.
What makes the award more special and meaningful is that we were nominated by one of our own emergency services volunteers.
According to DFES, in WA more than 95 per cent of emergency services personnel are volunteers and we recognise the important part employers play in making this possible.
We support staff to take off time to attend critical incidents and attend vital training as emergency services volunteers. We believe that open and on-going communication between volunteers and their managers enables swift response to emergency callouts by the volunteers.
Our employees volunteer for various emergency services, including the State Emergency Service, St John Ambulance Brigade, Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service, Bush Fire Brigade and Volunteer Marine Rescue Services.
