The iconic program honours the outstanding achievements of local communities in litter prevention, environmental stewardship and sustainability innovation, highlighting the power of grassroots action in building a cleaner, greener future.
This year, finalists have been selected across nine categories, recognising the diverse efforts of communities committed to creating a more sustainable and vibrant Western Australia.
The award categories are:
- General Appearance
- Community Action and Wellbeing
- Environmental Sustainability
- Litter Action
- Waste Management
- Community Containers for Change
- Heritage and Culture
- Environmental Education
- Young Legends
Each category will have one winner, with an overall state winner then selected to represent WA in the National Tidy Towns Sustainability Awards.
The awards are funded by the State Government and supported by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER), Western Australia Landcare Network (WALN), Western Australia Return Recycle Renew Ltd (WARRRL), Bank of IDEAS, Rural Aid Australia, Vanguard Media Group, Natsales and the Botanical Gardens Park Authority.
Winners will be announced at a gala lunch on Friday 28 November at Optus Stadium.
