From Monday 31 January, proof of vaccination requirements will expand to apply to venues and events state-wide.
These are the easiest ways to show proof of your vaccinations:
- The ServiceWA app, the WA Government's free, convenient and secure mobile application to show proof of your COVID-19 vaccinations
- The Express plus Medicare mobile app (external link), using your Medicare online account through MyGov.
- COVID-19 digital certificate (external link), with an acceptable form of ID, shows proof of only your COVID-19 vaccinations.
- Immunisation history statement (external link), with an acceptable form of ID, shows your COVID-19 vaccinations and all other vaccinations you have had.
If you’re not eligible for Medicare or don’t have a myGov account, you can still get proof of your vaccination.

Please note, employees at workplaces who fall under the WA Government’s mandatory vaccination policy should speak to their employer about showing proof of their vaccination status.
If you are eligible for Medicare
You can download your COVID-19 digital certificate and immunisation history statement using:
- your Medicare online account (external link) through myGov (external link)
- the Express Plus Medicare mobile app (external link)
- your My Health Record (external link)
Your certificate can also be added to either your Apple Wallet or Google Pay on your mobile device, for easy access.
If you are not eligible for Medicare
You will need an Individual Healthcare Identifier (IHI) to get your proof online.
You have an IHI if any of the following apply:
- you have a Medicare card
- you have a DVA card
- you’re enrolled in Medicare.
If you don’t already have an IHI, you can apply for one and link it using the IHI service through myGov (external link).
To do this, sign in to myGov (external link) then:
- Select ‘Services’ or ‘Link your first service’.
- Select ‘Individual Healthcare Identifiers service’ and then follow the prompts.

Printing proof if you can’t get it online
If you can’t get proof online, your vaccination provider, such as a GP or pharmacist, can print your immunisation history statement for you.
If you have only had one dose and require proof, you can use your immunisation history statement. You can ask your vaccination provider to print this for you. This might include an email from your first vaccination at a state-run clinic, or documentation from a pharmacy or GP.
COVID-19 vaccinations received overseas
If you received an approved COVID-19 vaccine overseas (external link), you can have it recorded on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).
You can ask a registered vaccination provider (like a GP or pharmacy) to record your COVID-19 vaccinations on the AIR.
Once they’ve been added to the AIR, you’ll be able to use your COVID-19 digital certificate or immunisation history statement as proof of your COVID-19 vaccinations.
Your document will need to be provided in English. A free translating service (external link) is available if you need help to translate your document. If you need an interpreter, please call the Telephone Interpreter Service (TIS) on 131 450.
If you’ve received mixed doses overseas of approved vaccines, you can also have these recorded to the AIR.
Once they’ve been added, you’ll be able to use your COVID-19 digital certificate or immunisation history statement as proof of your COVID-19 vaccinations.
