Small businesses are the lifeblood of our communities and our economy, employing around half a million Western Australians.
There’s no doubt the pandemic has impacted small businesses and, while COVID-19 restrictions are easing, many are still doing it tough.
That’s why the WA Government is providing grants and financial support to help our local businesses so they can continue contributing to our community.

Level 2 COVID-19 Business Assistance Package to support Western Australian businesses
WA small businesses can apply for up to $50,000 of funding if they’ve been impacted by COVID lockdowns and restrictions. To find out if your small business qualifies, search “Small Business Grants WA” or visit the Small Business Development Corporation website.
The assistance package also includes $2.8 million of payroll tax relief for large hospitality businesses and $2.1 million for a COVID-19 Commercial Sporting Franchises Support Program.

Level 1 COVID-19 Business Assistance Package
A package to assist businesses impacted by increasing COVID-19 cases and the implementation of Level 1 public health and social measures. This package, which includes eight tailored programs, is in addition to the $77 million Safe Transition Support Package.

Safe Transition Support Package
The WA Government’s $77 million Safe Transition Industry Support Package helps support businesses and individuals in sectors most affected by the decision to delay the full reopening of WA’s borders.
This package includes nine support programs for the International Education, Tourism, Aviation and Events sectors.
