Gas Review Board 2000

In July 2000, two applications for review were made to the Gas Review Board (Appeals 1 and 2 of 2000). The applications were made by the component businesses of AlintaGas (AlintaGas Networks Pty Ltd and AlintaGas Sales Pty Ltd) against the Coordinator of Energy. The applications for review related to conditions attached to licences issued by the Coordinator of Energy to the AlintaGas companies for the purposes of authorising the companies to engage in the distribution and trading of gas.

On 17 August 2000, the Attorney General appointed Mr Charles Kennedy Scott Merriam as the Presiding Member of the Western Australian Gas Review Board to hear and determine applications brought by AlintaGas Networks Pty Ltd and AlintaGas Sales Pty Ltd for a review of a decision by the Coordinator of Energy relating to licence conditions.

On 7 September 2000, Mr Merriam announced the appointments of Mr John Kuehne and Mr Dennis Kirk-Burnnand to the Gas Review Board hearing and determining the above applications.

Mr K Peter Kolf was appointed Registrar of the Gas Review Board.
