International Student ELICOS Bursary - Semester 1, 2022

A one-off payment of $1500AUD to assist eligible international students with ELICOS course fees for Semester 1, 2022. Applications closed at 5.00pm (AWST) on Wednesday 29 June 2022

International Student Accommodation Subsidy - Semester 1, 2022

A one-off payment of $1500AUD to assist up to 5000 eligible international students with accommodation costs for Semester 1, 2022. Applications closed at 10.00am (AWST) on Monday 2 May 2022

International Student Self-Quarantine - Semester 1, 2022

A one-off payment of $2000AUD to support eligible international students return to Western Australia,  up to 4000 payments were made available. Applications closed at 10.00am (AWST) on Monday 2 May 2022

International Education Industry Support Payment

Grants of $50,000 for eligible smaller-sized providers and $100,000 for eligible medium-sized providers. Available to eligible CRICOS-registered small and medium sized private international education providers based and operated in Western Australia. Applications closed at 10.00am (AWST) on Monday 2 May 2022

The support payment delivered a $2.5 million boost to 34 small and medium-sized private international education providers to support them through WA's world leading COVID management and soft landing.

Support payments for universities

As part of the Western Australian Government’s Safe Transition Industry Support Package, universities received $500 per international student required to quarantine to provide support services during their time quarantining in Western Australia.
