As a grant recipient, you are required to acknowledge the WA Government and the Let’s Grow program in any promotion or communication related to your funded project.
Sharing your story
We encourage you to showcase your project throughout its journey, from receiving your grant to planting day and beyond. Sharing your story celebrates your organisation's achievements, raises awareness of urban greening and inspires others to get involved in Let’s Grow.
Ways to promote your project may include:
- create a project web page or publish news stories about key project milestones and outcomes
- share updates, photos and videos on social media
- invite members, volunteers, students, parents and the community to planting days or celebrations
- include updates in newsletters, emails, assemblies, events and other communication channels
- create posters, flyers or event invitations to promote planting days or other project activities
Showcasing your project
We may select projects to be featured in Let’s Grow promotional activities to help celebrate achievements, share learnings and encourage future grant applications.
If your project is selected, we may ask for your assistance with:
- ministerial or media opportunities
- site visits to gather information, photography or video
- content for the Let’s Grow website, social media or e-news
- case studies, interviews or other promotional activities
As outlined in the Funding Agreement, the WA Government may use project information and materials for Let’s Grow education and promotion. We will provide reasonable notice and work with you to minimise any disruption.
Project signage
Some project sites may be selected to display Let’s Grow signage. If your project is chosen, we will provide the signage and work with you to determine the best location for installation.
Media opportunities
Media enquiries and opportunities must be managed by the Department, and where applicable, first be offered to the Minister of Planning and Lands.
Please contact media@dplh.wa.gov.au if you have been contacted by a media outlet about your project, or if you are considering contacting a media outlet about your project.
Acknowledgement requirements
The minimum requirements below provide a clear and consistent approach to acknowledging the WA Government and Let’s Grow when promoting your project.
Minimum requirements must be applied in all project communications and promotions including, but not limited to speeches, events, newsletters, posters, invitations, project updates, presentations, websites and social media content.

Rules for using the Let’s Grow lock-up (logo)
- 'Place the lock-up in a prominent position, so it's clearly visible and recognises the State Government's support. Where practical, position the lock-up before or above other logos, ideally in the top left-hand corner.
- Size the lock-up appropriately for where you’re using it. Aim for at least 65 mm wide, the minimum allowable size is 50mm wide.
- Ensure to apply minimum clear space around the lock-up, using the leaf within the lock-up as a guide for minimum clearance.
- Use the lock-up as supplied, don’t alter proportions, stretch, skew, alignment or colour.
- Use the colour lock-up on a white or light-coloured background to maximise legibility.
- If needed, use the white lock-up for legibility on darker backgrounds.
Co-branding
Organisations that receive the grant funding, such as a school or community group, are permitted to add their logo to the right of the Let’s Grow lock-up:
When placing your logo:
- Always place your logo to the right of the Let’s Grow lock-up (logo).
- Maintain equal horizontal spacing — match the space between the State Crest and the Let’s Grow logo (see orange dotted lines)
- Ensure your logo the same vertical height as the Let’s Grow lock-up.
