From 1 July 2021, the Coordinator of Energy assumed decision-making functions previously held by the Rule Change Panel. Under the new governance arrangements, the Market Advisory Committee (MAC) is led by an Independent Chair, and is tasked with providing advice to the Coordinator of Energy in relation to Rule Change Proposals under consideration as well as the evolution of the Wholesale Electricity Market.
