Topics include the range of mining titles available, how to apply for them, fees and rentals applicable as well as the requirements to keep mining titles in good standing.
There are also a series of Position Papers available that provide information on applying for mining tenements and those maintaining existing granted titles.
Note: Mining tenement position paper 10 has been reviewed and the department has determined it is no longer required and position paper 13 has been reviewed and has now been replaced with the recently published Guidance Statement – Excision of areas of land upon the grant of an application for exploration licence and Guidance Statement – Use of ‘No Mining’ conditions under the Mining Act 1978.
