Security cards are required by holders or nominees of other dangerous goods or explosive licences and for individuals with unsupervised access to explosives and security sensitive ammonium nitrate under the Dangerous Goods Safety Act 2004.
Consultant accreditation
Accreditation is required by individuals who seek approval to assess and endorse dangerous goods licensing applications.
Shot firing licence
Shot firing licences allow the holder to purchase, store, possess, and transport explosives and manufacture ammonium nitrate/fuel oil (ANFO).
Dangerous goods driver's and explosive driver's licence
Dangerous goods driver's and explosive driver's licences allow the holder to transport by road dangerous goods and explosives material.

- processing your application,
- administering licences and registrations,
- undertaking compliance and enforcement activities,
- undertaking engagement and educational activities
Your personal information is collected as required of us under the provisions of the Dangerous Goods Safety Act 2004.
If you do not provide the requested information, LGIRS may be unable to process your application, or provide the relevant services.
Your information may be disclosed where authorised or required by law. This may include an online licence search, a publicly available register, shared with other departments at LGIRS, to other government agencies, regulatory bodies, emergency services, employers, site operators, transport operators, and other third parties.
