Your licence is valid for 3 years. Courtesy renewal reminder notices are sent by email. To ensure you receive reminders, ensure your contact details are up to date. To allow sufficient time for assessment, you should lodge your renewal application at least 4 weeks before your licence expiry date.
If your licence does expire, you can still renew it within 30 days, a late fee will apply. Licences cannot be renewed once they have been expired for more than 3 months.
Before you apply
1. You'll need
- Your licence number (shown on your licence or search WA Licence Search).
- A police check (dated within the past 3 months, issued in your full legal name) for all partners/directors or the individual.
- Scale of fees (only if scale has changed since the Commissioner’s last approval)
- Visa/Mastercard for fee payment.

How to use the online licence search
Search by number: You can check if a licence number is still valid. Type the number into the field on the opening screen.
Search by type of licence: You can look for licensed people in your neighbourhood. Click on ‘Type’. Start typing in the licence type in the box eg. debt collector. Then type in either a name or location.
