Monica Nichevich has a long career in senior government roles including Executive Director Housing Delivery and Asset Maintenance at the Department of Communities, Program Director of Priority Projects and Program Management Office, Director of Ministerial Services, and Principal Policy Advisor for former Minister for Planning and Disability Services.
Prior to the current DDG role, Monica led a team of over 300 staff in Communities’ former Housing and Homelessness Division including residential new builds, major projects, complex programs, capital grants, spot purchasing, land acquisition and program controls business functions, along with the maintenance of over 45,000 public housing properties across WA. Monica led the delivery of the agency’s annual Asset Investment Program valued over $800 million, along with the delivery of over 5,800 social homes by 2028-29, of which over 3,100 homes have already been delivered.
