How to Engage with Council?

AACWA is supported by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, which acts as the Secretariat on behalf of the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs. AACWA meetings are open to all government agencies seeking strategic advice and guidance from members.

Submissions for agenda items are welcome from government agencies and stakeholders. There is a formal process to have your item considered for AACWA’s agenda. We strongly recommend that you contact the Secretariat team for guidance before submitting your request.

To submit an item for consideration

  1. Complete the AACWA Request Form
  2. Email your completed submission to aacwa@dpc.wa.gov.au before the deadline listed in the Meeting Schedule to have your item considered for future meetings.

If you simply wish to share information with AACWA (and not request an agenda item) email your correspondence to AACWA@dpc.wa.gov.au  and the Secretariat team will forward your information to members.

*Any urgent matters raised after the specified closing dates may be included in the AACWA meeting's agenda, subject to the Council's discretion.
