The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is the national policy guide for regulated qualifications in the Australian education and training system. The AQF defines the essential characteristics, including the required learning outcomes, of the different types of qualifications issued across the senior secondary education, vocational education and training (VET) and higher education systems in Australia.
The AQF is made up the following parts:
- Australian Qualifications Framework, Second Edition, January 2013
- Addendum No. 5 to AQF Second Edition January 2013 Amended Qualification Type: AQF Issuance Policy, Masters Degree (Extended) dated 19 November 2024
- Addendum No. 6 to the AQF Second Edition January 2013: New permanent AQF qualification: Undergraduate Certificate
- Addendum No. 7 to AQF Second Edition January 2013 Vocational Degree Qualification dated 26 February 2025 Part A and Part B.
