We are collecting this information for the purpose of addressing your complaint, compliment, or suggestion, and to keep you informed.
Secondary purposes
We may use your information to identify improvement opportunities within the Department and maintain records of public engagement and correspondence for accountability and reporting purposes.
What would happen if we do not collect your personal information?
If we do not collect your personal information, we will be unable to contact you for an update, or outcome.
Who may we disclose your personal information to?
- a language service provider if an interpreter is required;
- the National Relay Service if this service is used to communicate with you.
- the Ombudsman Western Australia for advice, or if requested to do so (in the case of a complaint investigation); and
- the Information Commissioner if requested to do so (in the case of a privacy complaint investigation).
Access to and correction of your personal information

In some cases, requests for access or correction will be handled in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 1992.
